This Tuesday 6-7pm at the Old North End Farmers Market, members of the Brass Balagan welcome musicians and other performers to jam with us in an informal open session. All ages/all instruments/all abilities. The market is in front of the Wheeler School/IAA. We are also hosting new member sessions at our Sunday 2-5pm rehearsals downtown. Give us a call and we’ll tell you how to get there.
Where does the Balagan Play?
Festivals such as Precipice, Champlain Valley Folk Fest, Boston’s Honk! Festival, funerals, house parties, clubs, brewery shows and at many joyful street parades. We have also marched for causes including: defending reproductive freedom, supporting queer youth, supporting migrant farm workers and supporting the right of African-American youth not to be shot for buying Skittles and wearing a hoodie.
We rehearse weekly and we welcome all good spirited musicians and street performers (jugglers, puppetistas, etc.). Drummers are particularly encouraged and all others are welcome.
