Plainfield Town Hall Concert and House Concert Invite

Past event
Mar 14, 2015, 7:30 to 10 PM

Please join us for a Greg Klyma Concert at the Plainfield Town Hall and Opera House. It's Saturday, March 14, at 7:30. There is a suggested donation of $15 that fully goes to Greg. Greg is a nationally touring performer with a dynamic style that's all his own. Part comedian, part story-teller, mostly a darn good singer-songwriter. He's a multi-instrumentalist and seasoned performer with seven cds to his credit. Prepare to laugh, maybe shed a tear, be entertained! He'll be great at the people's house--near the blinking light in Plainfield Village, US Rte 2--but then everyone here should know where that is!

We generally host house concerts on an irregular basis, thus "The Occasional Concerts Series". You're invited! If you like good acoustic music performed by good people and socializing with friends, this is your invitation to join in. Contact us and we'll add you to our list so you won't miss out on future shows. What's a house concert you say? Well, it's really just as it sounds. A concert or music party at someone's house--not always ours by the way! There's no better way to hear the music we present. House concerts provide a listening experience like no other and the performers love the engaged and attentive audiences. It's an international phenomenon and greatly helps out these talented folks. Our artists can be found headlining music festivals, teaching music workshops, offering school programs and generally working exceedingly hard at what they do. We love the idea that there are so many creative people out there crisscrossing the country sharing their work. But, they need our collective support to continue. You should know that we never invite anyone to play for our series who we haven't heard do a show and gotten to know personally--that's the house concert way. We feel so fortunate to be involved in this. Good people, good music! Please join in.
