Mansour Farhang, former Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, will speak at the Ilsley Public Library, 75 Main Street in Middlebury on Wednesday, September 11 at 10:30 a.m. The question of whether democracy and Islam are compatible will be the theme. The program , sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council and hosted by the Addison County Retired Teachers Association, is free and open to the public.
