Attention all Lego builders, engineers, and artists of ALL ages! Opportunity for both kids and adults to share their love of modular building!
The Cabot Public Library will be hosting a Lego exhibit, in conjunction with Cabot Maplefest. Bring your creation, and have some cookies and punch while we set up the exhibition. Stay for the “gallery walk,” where you’ll have the opportunity to talk about your creation, and learn about the work of your fellow Lego builders.
Build an original creation (not from Lego plans) of Lego or Lego-compatible bricks and accessories. Duplo, Megablocks, Bionicle are all fine. It should be primarily Lego materials, but it is okay to use other things to enhance your creation…paper, fabric, bric-a-brac. Please make sure your work can fit in a space 18” x 18”, and 4 ft. high.
Or animate your Legos! If you’d like to share your cool stop-motion creation during the party, bring your laptop with RGB port for connection to the library projector, or plan to play it on your own device. Be creative! Cars, robots, ships. houses, castles, spaceports, monsters, mythical creatures, barnyard animals, diorama, mosaic, collage, mobile… what can YOU build that no one has thought of before?
Pieces will be on display for two weeks. Please plan to pick up your work by Saturday April 4th.
