Many of us struggle to have our human rights met, such as healthcare, education, work with dignity, safe and warm housing and a livable planet. The Vermont Workers' Center believes that the only way to create meaningful change is through collective action and by standing together through our shared experiences and struggles. Are you struggling to afford or access health care with the current system that still allows private companies to profit off of our health needs? Are you concerned about the potential cuts to state employees and teachers that our legislators are discussing at the state house? Do you believe that it is unfair and unjust that 1% of our population in the United States owns over 47% of the wealth while over 40% of the population owns less than 0% because of debt?
Please join us Thursday, March 12th at 7pm at the Johnson Public Library for a community discussion on income inequality and meeting our fundamental, human needs and organizing our communities right here in Lamoille County. We believe that the only way to create meaningful change is through joining together in our struggle for a better world. Snacks provided! We hope to see you there.
