On Monday, The Buffalo Mountain Coop is hosting a free garlic tasting of at least 7 different local garlic varieties upstairs in the coop's Cafe. They will be prepared raw and roasted in oil so you can taste the differences. You will get a chance to vote on your favorite variety! We will also be testing the brix levels of all the garlic before the event to see if there is any correlation between what varieties folks chose as their favorites and the ones with the highest nutrient density. Brix is a measurement of the relative nutrient density in a fruit or vegetable. We will have more info about why the Coop is labeling the brix levels of the produce we sell.
