What's a Calcutta? It is a lottery of sort. When you buy a ticket, you buy one entry (ball) into the lottery. There are 100 balls sold. You will thus have 1 chance in 100 to win 1000$. The remaining money raised will be used to buy bicycles for children in Vermont.

You want to participate but are not available on March 14th? You can still buy a ticket, you can win whether you are present or not.

Where is the fundraiser: St Johns Club, 9 Central Avenue, Burlington
When is the fundraiser: March 14th, 2015 5-11pm
Tickets: 35$ per person (Calcutta Ball, dinner and DJ included); 10$ for a companion (i.e., no Calcutta ball); cash bar.

How do I buy a ticket? Directly at the St John's Club or by contacting Marie-Christine Potvin at (802) 318-0603. Don't wait to buy your ticket, they will go fast.
