Colchester residents have the opportunity to hear performances from all the CSD choral groups at the upcoming district wide concert. The event is free and open to the public.
The District Choral Concert will be held on Friday, March 6 at 7 pm in the Colchester High School gymnasium. This will be the first time all the choral programs from the school district have performed in one venue.
The students have been working hard to showcase what they have learned this year. Each group will perform one piece at their concerts, starting with the fifth graders at Malletts Bay School and moving up through the grades to demonstrate the progression of musical talent, discipline and skills that occurs through the CSD programs.
Friends of Colchester Music (FCM) will be selling $5 raffle tickets for a framed and autographed Grace Potter print at the event. FCM will also hold a 50/50 cash raffle and Colchester Music car magnets will be available for $5 each. Proceeds will help provide donations of instruments, materials, scholarships and music education programs to all of our schools in Colchester. LCATV will record the concert and DVD order forms will be available at the event. DVDs can be ordered for $5 each.
