Calling All Tea Enthusiasts

….. Melanie Franks, a Certified Tea Specialist, will teach the Gong Fu Cha method of tea making on Tuesday, March 10th from 10am – Noon at The Meeting Place @ Neighborhood Connections.

Gong Fu, in Chinese, translates to the art of doing something well. Learning to prepare tea the Gong Fu way means that time, dedication and effort will produce an ultimate tea experience. The Chinese tea ceremony, less formal than the Japanese version, is easy to master and rarely takes more than 10 minutes to perform. Whereas the Japanese Tea Ceremony is more concentrated on performance, Gong Fu is more focused on the taste of the tea being prepared.

In addition to instructing us on how to make a cup of tea which tastes great and is satisfying to the soul, Ms. Franks will discuss teas in general. This seminar is being offered at no charge, but reservations are requested. Call 824-4343 to reserve your seat.
