The Poultney Earth Fair is an annual tradition that draws hundreds of people from the local region to celebrate the environment and our community.

This year the 8th Annual Poultney Earth Fair will be held on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Poultney High School. The event is free and open to the public!

This year’s Earth Fair theme, selected by Poultney’s 7th Graders, is “GLOBAL CHANGES, OUR ACTIONS”. They are setting the tone, to encourage us to discover how to take action in addressing some of the biggest issues we face…climate change, hunger, poverty, and more.

Everyone is invited - adults, kids, clubs, organizations and businesses - to explore this theme and present your findings at the Fair in the form of a display, activity or demonstration.

You will be joining a growing community of more than 60 other groups who have made this event so successful for the past 7 years. With no fees to participate, this is a great opportunity to inspire the hundreds of people who attend…particularly the children.

Come share your own energy with others, teach somebody something, learn something, or just have a fun time with family and friends. Enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, activists, and innovators are all welcome!

If you’re interested in reserving a FREE space for a display or demonstration, please contact: José Gálvez Contreras (225-936-9973; galvezcontrerasj@gmail.com) or Devon Artis-White (artiswhited@greenmtn.edu).

As always, everything at the Fair is free...our fresh organic pizzas and other locally produced food, live music, and a variety of educational activities presented by Poultney Elementary and High Schools, Green Mountain College, and organizations from the local region. Our scavenger hunt with its local prizes will also be bigger and better this year.

Mark the date on your calendars and don’t forget to bring your friends and neighbors!
