Vermont Youth Dancers (VYD) use dance and popular music to tell the beloved story of Dorothy and her loyal friends, mesmerizing witches, an elusive wizard, and the true meaning of home and friendship. The show appeals to kids, teens, and adults, with its magical effects, cool vibe, and timeless message.
VYD brings this classic tale to life with exciting music, electrifying hip-hop, and vibrant lyrical choreography. Cast of 45 local youth, dynamic large scale production, imaginative set and costumes, lively characters, and best of all, choreography and music tell a story about things that matter – leaving home to make your way in the world, building friendships, and finding unexpected strength to face your fears.
