Carnevale Vergennes! March 7

Past event
Mar 7, 2015

Saturday, March 7, 7 P.M. to 10 P.M

Dear Neighbors, Friends and Enthusiasts of Vergennes,

I'm writing to you today to invite you to not only attend but to spread the word Carnevale Vergennes! This remarkable evening will take place at the Opera House with the doors (and the music) opening at 7 p.m.

This event is a dual fundraiser for two very worthy local non-profit organizations: The Vergennes Opera House and the Vergennes Partnership.

The economic vitality of Vergennes is important for the entire region and both organizations play a major roll in maintaining and encouraging a vibrant and relevant downtown. Supporting this event by attending and/or by spreading the word so others attend, will go a very long way in giving both organizations financial security so they can continue to do what they do to the benefit of city residents, community-wide residents and visitors to our region.

And this evening will be unforgettable (like it was last year!)....see pictures here: http://bit.ly/CarnevaleVergennes2014. As you can see from the pictures, the Carnevale Vergennes mirrors the Venetian Carnevale of the 16th and 17th centuries, with elaborate clothing and fascinating masks. Both are encouraged but totally optional on March 7th.

Tickets are $50 each and it will be worth EVERY SINGLE CENT! Think of it as a $25 ticket to two events but you only need to take one night to do it and worry about one outfit!

What can you expect? Simply put...a spectacle of beauty, art, surprises, delicious food, cash bar, one-of-a-kind silent auction items (there may be battles!), photo station, exceptional music, singing (our singer is currently on the Quebec version of The Voice-La Voix) acrobats (really!), special take-home gifts (just for coming!) humor (yeah, you'll giggle), and the GREAT feeling that you are making a BIG difference while having fun!

How is this event made possible? By the unending generosity of a boatload of volunteers and the financial support of the following individuals and businesses: RPM: Restoration Performance Motorcars, Vergennes Animal Hospital, J.W. & D.E. Ryan Plumbing and Heating, Jackman Fuels, Everywear for Everybody, H.J. LeBoeuf & Sons Building & Contracting, Garry Lange Law Office, Jeff and Andrew Fritz, Liz and Pete Markowski, Ed and Beverly Biello, Dr. David Congalton, Shaws Supermarket, DR Power Equipment, Rivers Edge Campground, People’s United Bank, Four Season’s Sotheby’s International Realty, and Hall Communications Radio Group (WOKO/WOKO/WJOY/WBTZ/WIZN)...not to mention the dozens upon dozens of people and businesses that have donated to the silent auction. AMAZING!

Please help spread the word about this 1X a year event and, if you haven't done so already, please go to this link to purchase your own tickets: http://bit.ly/1C4K7Ix

By the way, if you attended last year's Carnevale Vergennes and retained your $10 off ticket, you can redeem it at the door when you arrive for $10 in cash or hand it in at one of the three ticket outlets (Linda's Apparel, Classic Stitching or Everywear for Everybody) and they will deduct $10 from your ticket price!

Thank you friends for helping us make this a huge success!

It has been a long winter, hasn't it? Time to get out and have a blast!

See you on March 7 at CARNEVALE VERGENNES!

Cheers,
Gerianne
President, Friends of the Vergennes Opera House
