Hardwick's MAC NURSE : Perry Heller will be holding its next MAC CURIOUS : MAC BASICS and BEYOND Educational Workshop at G.R.A.C.E in downtown Hardwick.

Date and Time: Saturday March 7, 2015 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Location: G.R.A.C.E building at 59 Mill St. directly across from the Hardwick Post Office Hardwick, VT 05843.

Interested in learning how to get the most from your Apple computer? Maybe your computer is running slowly and you don't know why. Perhaps you are unhappy with your current Mac and you're thinking about buying a new one and don't know where to start… Then this is the MAC CURIOUS workshop for you. We'll be going over Mac basics such as:

*What's the Administrator / User Account Password?
*What is an Operating System (OS) and what's the difference between them all?
*Is my computer too old? How do I know when it's time to invest in a new computer or affordably upgrade my current one?
*How do I upgrade my current Operating System?
*Why do I keep getting the rainbow ball / rainbow wheel on my screen?
*Applications keep opening even though I did not ask them to! HELP!!!
*What's the best browser to use? Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer?
*How do I set up an Apple ID and Password?
*What is Adobe Flash Player Plug-In, why do I need to update it all of the time?
*Should I download and install the Software Updates that keep popping up on my computer?
*What is iCloud?
*How do I know if something is SPAM or a Virus or if it is safe to download?
*What's the best email to use? Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, VTLink, Fairpoint?
*Should I put my computer to sleep all the time or should I shut it down?
*What's the difference between MB (Megabytes) and GB (Gigabytes)?
*How do I backup my computer?

This MAC CURIOUS workshop is limited to 20 participants.

Cost for Workshop: $20/person payable at the door cash or check made payable to Mac Nurse

If you would like to, feel free to bring your computer with you. We'll have plenty of room for your MacBooks, iMacs, MacMinis, etc… Outlets and power strips will be made available for everyone's computer. There will also be 2 MAC NURSE Loaner MacBooks laptops available if people would like to borrow one for this workshop. These laptops are available on a first come first serve basis.
