This just in from the Town of Poultney! There will be an Informational Meeting held on Monday, March 2nd at 6:30 P.M. in the Poultney High School Library to discuss HUGE changes coming to the Transfer Station!

On July 1st, as a result of State Law Universal Recycling (Act 148) and State Regulations, Poultney and all Towns in the State will soon go by the “Pay as you Throw” system. Jon Kelley from the Agency of Natural Resources will be at the Library on Monday to provide a presentation of the law and the new requirements of how we’ll pay for trash going forward as of June 1st, when the Statewide unit-based pricing takes effect, requiring residential trash charges be based on volume or weight.

Come on down Monday night to the PHS Library at 6:30pm - ask questions, and get ready for this big change.
