Neighbors,
The theme in city-wide races this election cycle is development, how, where, and whether. This includes plans to facilitate land use development through Form-Based Code and TIF financing, to introduce private hotels and restaurants into the waterfront's public trust land, to exploit the building potential of the South End where artists presently have studios, to increase building height and density, to maximize on-street parking potential throughout the city, or to build 200 or more housing units on what is now the Burlington College campus.
Beginning at 6:30 Thursday, February 26, Burlington Free University will host a panel discussion on these issues. Panelists include architects, artists, and activists. You are invited to phone in questions at 862 3966 or to join the studio audience at Channel 17, 294 No. Winooski Ave.
