The wackiest and funniest donkeyball show is coming to town! The Mt Abe Music Association is sponsoring the Green Mountain Donkeyball show out of Danby, Vermont on March 7th. The show will take place at Mount Abe UHS starting at 1pm. Spectators attending can look forward to seeing the Boys Varsity Bball team versus the Girls Varsity Bball team. You may also get to see faculty from the elementary schools battle each other or maybe members of the senior class go up against Mt. Abe faculty.
The biggest challenge for these brave, if not foolhardy competitors, is to save face as they try to maintain some sort of dignity as they attempt to ride their donkey counterparts. Although, the players/riders object of the game is to actually score some baskets - the donkeys object is to make complete asses out of the would-be riders.
John and Letitia Sisters, the owners of GMDB, treat children under 12 to FREE donkey rides during intermission. The Sisters always enjoy sharing their cuddly friends with the youngsters. John, Letitia and their family of donkeys perform 1-3 shows a week around the New England area. The Sisters' donkeys spend the majority of their time at home on their farm in Danby.
