Free Tax Preparation at Kellogg-Hubbard Library

Past event
Feb 24, 2015, 4:30 AM to 8 PM

Free tax preparation is available in Vermont through an IRS program called VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). Preparers will be at Kellogg Hubbard every other Tuesday evening from 4:30-8:00 to take care of your taxes and file them electronically if you wish. Tomorrow the 24th is the first session. Future sessions will be on March 10, March 24, and April 7.

This program is available for anyone whose gross income is less than $53,000. The program can't handle depreciation or some other complicated situations, but can handle most individual returns. We also do Vermont returns, including Renter Rebate.

This is a statewide program run in Barre, Randolph, Morrisville, S. Royalton, Bradford, Northfield, and Marshfield. Capstone (formerly CVCAC) runs the program, so if you have questions call them at 479-1053.
