March 11 - 7pm - Hinesburg Town Office - Sustainable Economic Development (presentations and community forum)

We have two terrific speakers coming on March 11 to talk with us about a topic that resonates here in Hinesburg! Both are authors of recent books that have received rave reviews. We are lucky to have them, so please consider putting this event on your calendar.

- Bruce Seifer, author of "Sustainable Communities: Creating a Durable Economy"
- Bill Maclay, Maclay Architects and author of "The New Net Zero"

Bruce Seifer is best known locally for his work with the City of Burlington in their Community Economic Development Office (CEDO). Bruce led Burlington’s economic development efforts for three decades - marketing and assisting in the implementation of numerous economic policy initiatives and providing assistance to over 4,000 businesses and numerous non-profits. Bruce was a founding member of the Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (aka Efficiency VT), South End Arts & Business Association, and the Vermont Software Developers Alliance (now the VT Technology Alliance). He is currently engaged in developing and speaking at forums designed to promote the implementation of sustainable economic development policies in other cities and towns across the nation.
