Please note that although the starting time for many classes is 3:15 -the first 15 minutes are spent having snack and settling in. The lessons do not usually begin until 3:30. So if you are travelling from neighboring communities-do not fret over arriving after 3:15. As usual, I will meet and walk all VUES students to the studio or Opera House.

Preschool Class

Travel Art
9/16, 23, 30, 10/7, 14, 21 ·
Mon. 3:15 – 4:30 pm
Ages 11-14
Fee $90/6 week session, all materials provided.
Students will create one-of-a-kind acrylic paintings based on pictures of places they’ve traveled to. Whether near or far, each student will learn to translate visual imagery from photo to canvas and bring their own artistic memories to life.

Drama and Folk Tales (16 student limit)

Ages 5-8
Fee $110/7 week session, all materials provided.
NOTE: This class will convene at Vergennes Opera House.In this class, students will explore themes of African and North American folk tales. Choreography, set building, costuming and role playing will all be integrated into the class. We will end our 7 weeks with mini performances for family and friends. Laura Holmes will be guest teaching with Bethany Farrell in this class.

Mobiles

Fee: $90/6 week session, all materials provided.
Students will spend this 6 week session learning about and crafting one-of-a-kind mobiles. They will use wood, wire, plaster and paint to craft these hanging sculptures based on theme(s) of their choice.

Poetic Art

Ages 7-9
Fee: $90/6 week session, all materials provided.
In this new offering from Studio V, students will explore the fusion of creative writing and visual imagery. The class will be team taught by Josh Brooks and Bethany Farrell. Students will draw inspiration by investigating the surrounding environment through journaling, sketching, games etc. They will create unique pictures based on their words and words based on their pictures!
