Come out and warm up with old time American Fiddle Music, Celtic airs, jigs reels and more! Abby and Rosie Newton and Lynn Hardy are three quarters of the Mother Daughter String Band and have performed together as duos, trio and the full quartet over the past few years. Abby is well known for the revival of cello in American and Scottish traditional music and has appeared on Prairie Home Companion. She and Lyn have collaborated since the 1970's with the Putnam String County Band. Lyn, playing rock solid rhythm guitar, has recorded with the Rude Girls and The Cupcakes. Rosie, Abby's daughter, pays a duo with Richie Stearns, with two CD's out, and has recently toured with the Duhks.
