The Northwoods Stewardship Center in East Charleston celebrates its 26th anniversary with a two-week, WinterWaterWoods Art Show featuring 26 top-tier Vermont artists from the Northeast Kingdom and beyond. Oils, watercolors, photographs, sculptures in stone and wood, and a lighted outdoor ice sculpture are featured. The festivities and art show open with a wine and cheese reception Sunday, February 22 from 4:00-6:00, and artists will be present to show and discuss their work. Each of the show’s artworks reflect the artists’ view of winter, water or woods. Snowy landscapes, wildlife, icy brooks and tree silhouettes make up a part of the subject matter.
