"Guiding Good Choices" - Free - Parenting Workshop (5 Sessions)
Parenting Class begins March 18th in Montpelier.
"Guiding Good Choices" is a 5-session parenting workshop series to be held Wednesdays, March 18 - April 15, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Main Street Middle School in Montpelier. It is offered free by Central Vermont New Directions Coalition and aids parents and caregivers of children in grades four through eight in Washington County- before kids enter middle school and high school.
The course will cover how to set clear guidelines with both positive and negative consequences; how to control and express anger constructively; understanding the teenage brain; promoting family bonds; and preparing kids with "refusal" skills when peer influence might lead to trouble.
