Notice is hereby given to the residents of the Town of Fairfield, Vermont that the Fairfield Planning Commission will hold a hearing on March 23, 2015 at 7:00pm. At the Fairfield Town Clerks Office to consider for re-adoption the following Fairfield Municipal Plan pursuant to Chapter 117 of title 24, section 4387 and 4384, Vermont Statutes Annotated.
According to title 24 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated, Municipal Plans must be readopted every five years or they will expire. This plan update focused on bringing outdated data up to date, incorporating a flood resiliency element, adding economic development goals and policies, adding language in support of village designation and updating the permit allocation based on new census figures. The purpose of this heating is to receive and discuss public comment on the Fairfield Town Plan.
The Fairfield Municipal Plan includes 4 Chapters: Introduction; Yesterday; Today and Tomorrow. A full text of the plan is on file at the Fairfield Town Clerks Office. The Plan proposes goals and policies that impact the entire Town of Fairfield. This plan is intended to be consistent with the goals established in Title 24, section 4302.
