Vermont Public Service Board to hold Public Hearing in Fair Haven
The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the Band Room at the Fair Haven Union High School, 33 Mechanic St., Fair Haven, VT. The Public Service Board will be hearing comments on Champlain VT, LLC's electric power line petition.
Champlain VT, LLC d/b/a TDI-New England for the New England Clean Power Link Project is proposing the installation and operation of a high voltage direct current underwater and underground electric transmission line with a capacity of 1,000 MW, a converter station, and other associated facilities, to be located in Lake Champlain and in the Counties of Grand Isle, Chittenden, Addison, Rutland, and Windsor.
It is proposed to traverse Fair Haven underground solely within the US Route 22A and US Route 4 rights-of-way. To learn more about the proposal, a copy of the application is available for review at the Town Offices or go to the New England Clean Power Link website:
