HI FPF neighbors!
Please join us on Saturday, February 21 from 9 am-2 pm at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl and Rikert Nordic Center for a fun day of skiing, riding and racing to help raise money for HOPE (Helping Overcome Poverty's Effects)!
WHY PARTICIPATE?
HOPE has been providing poverty relief services to Addison County residents since 1965. HOPE operates the Addison County Food Shelf which serves more than 600 people each month. HOPE provides other basic needs including heating fuel, housing, emergency home repairs, medical needs, etc., and also helps people to better meet their needs through the provision of budget counseling, job training and employment supports and more. HOPE is a private, locally governed organization that depends on local support, including events like the Ski and Ride. We anticipate that the event will attract over 100 skiers who will help increase awareness of HOPE’s mission, raise funds to help struggling Addison County households and, in the process, have a great time!

Last year this event raised over $8,000! That money helped HOPE respond to the emergency needs of clients with vouchers for car repairs, prescription assistance, funds for medical and dental emergencies, electrical and heating bills as well as other critical needs. We anticipate that the event will attract over 100 skiers who will increase awareness of the HOPE mission, raise funds and have a great time!
