Past event
Feb 12, 2015

Relocalizing Vermont is Thursday, 9:00 - 10:30 am Eastern, on WGDR Plainfield 91.1 FM / WGDH Hardwick 91.7 FM / streaming at wgdr.org
Here's the line-up for this week's show:
9:00 - 10:00 am
The Net Zero Home uses, on an annual basis, only as much energy as it generates. How do you heat it in Vermont? Li Ling Young of Efficiency Vermont is leading a series of Net Zero Home workshops in Montpelier, and she'll tackle heating in Thursday night's workshop. She gives a sneak preview of the topic on our program.

The Vermont Council on Rural Development is hosting a summit on how to make lemons out of the lemonade of climate change, next Wednesday. Director Paul Costello will describe the plans for the summit, and speaker Karen Glitman will talk about one specific area--transportation in a carbon-constrained future.

10:00 - 10:30 am
Resilience Thoughts, a preview of the Northeast Organic Farming Association's winter conference, plus upcoming events related to energy, food, and the local economy at the end of the age of oil.

Cheers,
Carl
