Valentine’s Dance at Magic Mountain
To Benefit
Pingree Park Revitalization Project
Dr. T and the Versatiles Bring the Magic Back on Valentine’s Day, again!
Looking for a night of dinner, dancing and great music this Valentine’s Day? Look no further than Magic Mountain in Londonderry, Vermont. Saturday, February 14th, Dr. T and the Versatiles bring their ‘60’s and ‘70’s horn-driven Rock, R & B and Soul Music to the Magic Mountain Base Lodge from 8:00 to 11:00pm. Tickets for the dance may be purchased at the door. Admission will be $8.00 for a single and $15.00 for a couple. The Black Line Tavern in the Base Lodge will be open for dinner and drinks. (Food and drink are not included in admission.) The concert is being sponsored by the Londonderry Town Parks Board for the benefit of the Pingree Park Revitalization Project, and the Board is thrilled to have such a great band returning to help raise funds for phase 2 of this project.
Dr. T and the Versatiles, with musicians from Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts, play a variety of great tunes from the 1960’s and 1970’s featuring songs by Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Al Green, Sam and Dave and many more. The band was formed by Dr. Terry Ryan of Springfield, Vermont, a chiropractor by trade, who loves playing the trumpet whenever he has the chance. Ryan assembled a musical collective that, all together, creates an exciting and varied show with music everyone can enjoy. Among the eleven musicians who make up the band, Meredith Robinson of Chicopee, MA is the stand-out as lead vocalist. Ryan and Robinson will be joined by their fellow band mates Robin Stoto (second lead singer), Ed Cohen (trumpet), Joan Timberlake (sax), Liz Ryan (trombone), Al Kuchas (guitar), Steve Osterlund (bass), Dan Williams (keyboards), Brian Morris (percussion), and Mick Arace (drums).
The band had a busy year playing in the Southern Vermont region. Fans say, “If you like a band with a big horn section, you need to get out and see Dr. T and the Versatiles!”
In addition to great music and dancing, the Parks Board has assembled some great raffle items to be won throughout the evening. Bring your Valentine out for a night of fun and help support a great community park!
