Come celebrate Valentine's Day a little differently this year! The CBMS PTO is having our THIRD ANNUAL International Potluck Supper. Enjoy the international atmosphere as we transform the cafeteria into a Moroccan Hammam for the night! The food is amazing and you and your family will learn about the diverse cultures and foods of Morocco and beyond.
Keynote speaker: Pam Clapp from the Himalayan Cataract Project. Pam will give a fascinating talk and slide show about her work in the Himalayan mountains, African villages and beyond. Not to be missed!
Jesse McDougall-CBMS 8th grader- will present his slide show from a recent trip to Morocco in December 2015 highlighting the colors and contours of Casablanca, the souks of Marrakech and the camels of Merzuga! Learn more about the 13th century leather tanneries in Fez! There is so much to learn about the diverse world cultures we actually know so little about.
Duncan McDougall- Will give families a few tips on traveling and planning a meaningful trip abroad...and also his impressions about being in a Muslim country at such a challenging time in our world history. "Life is an education don't let work get in the way!"
*Please bring an international dish you'd like to share (and please list your ingredients). If you don't have time to cook--just come and join a cultural adventure right here in Waterbury, VT. Everyone is welcome.
$5/person and $20/family donation requested at the door to the CBMS PTO fund. Hope to see you there!
