Attend MCS School Board Meeting Feb. 11

Wednesday at 6:30 at the Monkton Central School
There are a number of issues with the proposed MCS budget that are alarming. Here are a few of them:
-1 teaching staff position and ALL general education support staff positions are being eliminated at MCS, although enrollment is not changing
- multiple special education positions are being eliminated district wide
-The SU assessment is $766,991. This is a 20.65% increase from last year.
The visitors' business portion of the school board meeting Wednesday night has been dedicated to answering budget questions. This is our opportunity to express our concerns.
As taxpayers, community members, parents, and school supporters, it is IMPERATIVE that we hold our school administrators and board members accountable for this budget.
Please come to this meeting Wednesday, Feb. 11th at 6:30pm at Monkton School.
