A final day of fun snow games for all the family. Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at the Ice Center grounds, beginning at 11 AM.

VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GRAND FINALE. Winners from round one compete for the ultimate honor of the Winterfest Volleyball Championship Title! Awards for adult team champions and family team champions. Nets and balls available between tournament games for community pickup play.

TIMED SNOWSHOE RACING. Try demo snowshoes from CC Outdoor Store or bring your own and try to best the standing record on the leader board. Age group prizes.

SNOWMAN CONTEST/SNOW PAINTING. Build a creative snow sculpture or snow fort - and/or draw fanciful creations. Prizes for sculptures/forts and paintings. Judging 2 PM.

SNOWBALL THROWING CONTEST. Test your snowball throw for distance and accuracy and try to best the standing record on the leader board - prizes for different age groups.

SELF GUIDED SNOWSHOE/WALK. An easy walk around the Ice Center grounds. Check out the historical tree clump, the river, the future dog park, and the bike trick park. In case of deep snow, we'll pack a snowshoe trail for you! In case of hard-pack, wear grippe boots or micro spikes! Free snowshoe demos and micro spikes will be available on a limited basis - check with CC Outdoor Store at the snowshoe racing area!

BACK COUNTRY SKI & SNOW SHOE, 12 Noon on Perry Hill. A steep short climb up from the Ice Center area railroad tracks to flat ground leading to a myriad of XC ski options. Join us for some great trail tours and some sweet tree shots and then gather 'round the fire bowl to share tall tales before we head back down to the Ice Center for a free skate and the Winterfest Closing Ceremonies.

DOG PARK PLAY DAY, 1 PM. Bring your four legged buddies to the proposed off-leash Dog Park, behind the Ice Center. Our proposed Dog Park is getting closer every day. Although we don’t yet have fences, it is a great time to introduce your dog to their future playground…let them sniff it out with their canine companions. Off leash will be permitted for dogs that can be trusted. (No fence will be provided.) Free, with dog park donations welcome.

PUBLIC SKATING PARTY & CLOSING CEREMONY, 3 PM. Visit our friends at the Ice Center for open skating and our Waterbury Winterfest Closing Ceremonies. Join the parade of participants as we say farewell to another spectacular series of activities and award the first Peg O’Neil Participation Award (complete with photos on the Zamboni) to the individual who came out to play with us the most in Winterfest 2015! Free Skate Rental to Winterfest Participants!

WINDOW DECORATING AWARDS, 4 PM. 2015 Winterfest Closing Ceremonies.
