Northfield's 2nd Annual Winter Carnival!

Please join us once again to celebrate winter in Northfield.

Who wants to build a snow sculpture? Ok, you build it in your yard (within a 5 mile radius of the common) and we will come judge it on Feb 14th. Contact Michele Langley at micheledl@trans-video.net or 485-7255 no later than Friday, Feb 13th to let us know you made one.

There will be coloring contests at area restaurants; Depot Pizzeria, O’Maddi’s, The Common Café, JT’s Fries and Pies and the Falls General Store. The contests will run from Feb 5-14th. Each restaurant will have its own winner.

The Brown Public Library plans to have a Valentine’s Day craft from 11-12. Children 5 and under can come with an adult, children 6 and up are welcome to come alone. Others can come alone. Free and no registration needed.
There will be sledding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobile rides (if optimal conditions) at Memorial Park 12-3pm.

The American Legion is hosting the Chili cook-off this year. If you want to enter the contest you can drop it off between 11:30 am and 12:30pm. The tasting will happen from 12:30- 2pm. Please come down and taste the chili and help decide the winner. Please contact Scott Amell at 802-917-1767 to enter or if you have any questions.

The Northfield boys’ high school hockey team has a game at 5pm at Kreitzberg Area and NHS girls’ hockey team follows at 7pm. The Varsity club will have a concession stand during both games.
