Beekeeper Bill Mares Speaking in Tunbridge Feb 6

Author and beekeeper Bill Mares will speak at the Friday, Feb. 6, Tunbridge Library Winter Evenings program. His 7 p.m. “Forty Years of Beekeeping” talk will cover his years of keeping bees in Vermont and the national picture. He will also discuss a Food4Farmers project to teach beekeeping to Central American coffee farmers.

Mares has been a journalist, teacher and member of the Vermont House of Representatives. He has authored or co-authored 14 books on subjects ranging from the Marine Corps and workplace democracy to desert travel to Presidential fishing. He is a past president of the Vermont Beekeepers Association and the Eastern Apicultural Society.
