Author, Illustrator and Center for Cartoon Studies grad Katherine Roy talks about how she researches and designs her nonfiction work for young readers. Her new picture book Neighborhood Sharks was researched on location at the Farallon Islands and was recently recognized as a 2015 Sibert Honor Book. This event is part of the Bear Pond Books Author-Educator series. It's free and open to the public.
