Please join us for a Calcutta fundraising event to benefit Purple Hearts Reunited, a Vermont nonprofit organization. Purple Hearts Reunited returns lost or stolen military medals of valor to veterans or their families, in order to honor their sacrifice to the nation. This fun afternoon event will raise money for the cause, and help return these misplaced medals to their rightful owners and educate the public about each veteran's story.
The event is on Saturday, Feb 21, 1-4pm at 14th Star Brewery in St. Albans.
How it works: Calcutta tickets cost $100 each-- you will be assigned a number (1-100). We will draw numbers during the event, and at every ten or so, we'll give out a prize (to include ski passes at Burke Mountain, the honorary First Pitch and tickets to a Lake Monsters home game, Vermont-made crafts, passes for a zipline canopy tour at Smugglers Notch, and more!). As your number is called, you will be out of the running, but you can stay and enjoy the party. At the very end of the Calcutta, the last man or woman standing will go home with $5,000. In short, you have a 1 in 100 chance of winning $5000, and a good chance of not going home empty-handed.
The afternoon promises to be fun, and features beer, free food, and music, as well as an additional live auction with great items. All proceeds from the event will go to Purple Hearts Reunited, and will help return lost or stolen medals.
Tickets are limited! The easiest way to purchase them is to make a donation to Purple Hearts Reunited using the link below, and enter "Calcutta" in the space "Donation in honor/memory of..."
