Wildlife Presentation Coming Up Feb. 3

No matter what your interest is in wildlife, you won’t want to miss the upcoming free slide show by noted naturalist Sue Morse on “Animals of the North: What Will Global Climate Change Mean to Them?” Presented by the Richmond Conservation Commission, the event will take place at the Richmond Free Library from 6:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3.

Sue has traveled throughout the northern reaches of Canada and Alaska, taking incredible photos of the wildlife there and noting how they’re confronting climate change head on. Early in January she entertained a standing-room-only audience in Richmond with a talk about the return of cougars to the east. Now she’s coming back to Richmond to talk about a topic that could affect us all, and offer some suggestions for both short- and long-term solutions to a problem many see as enveloping our whole planet.

There’s no charge for the event, which is sponsored by the Richmond Conservation Commission, Bolton Conservation Commission, Richmond Climate Action Committee, Richmond Land Trust and Alison’s Aquatics. Hope you can make it!
