The Guilford Conservation Commission invites you to come take a walk in Green River Village's Great Meadow. We'll be hiking down the river side of the meadow and then loop around to the east side, looking for tracks along the way. For those interested in a longer walk some of us will be crossing a small footbridge and hike uphill on old logging roads.
The loop around the meadow is on level ground and should take not more than an hour. The section up the logging roads is more strenuous and adds another 20 minutes.
Both the meadow and the uphill section are in conservation trusts,
Park along the Stage Road and carpool if you can. Snowshoes advisable.
