WARNING TOWN OF DANBY, VERMONT
The legal voters of the Town of Danby are hereby warned and notified to meet at the Currier Memorial School, 234 North Main Street, Danby, Vermont, on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the following articles which will be voted by Australian ballot on March 3, 2015 at Municipal Building, 130 Brook Road, Danby, Vermont.
Article 1. Shall the voters accept the Town Report?
Article 2. Shall the voters authorize the collection of taxes on or before October 14, 2015?
Article 3. Shall the voters authorize the Selectmen to borrow money in anticipation of funds not to exceed the previous year's budget?
Article 4. Discuss town budget to be voted on by Australian Ballot on March3, 2015 at Danby Municipal Office.
Article 5. To transact any other business proper to come before this meeting.
The following to be voted on by Australian Ballot on March 3, 2015 at Danby Municipal Building, 130 Brook Road, Danby. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Article 6. To elect all Town Officers for the ensuing year.
Article 7. Shall the Town vote a budget of $1,132,788.00 to meet the expenses and liabilities of the Town for fiscal year July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 and authorize the Selectmen to set a tax rate sufficient to provide the same?
Article 8. Shall the voters of the Town of Danby grant tax exempt status to the property located at 174 Mt. Tabor Avenue for the purposes of erecting a veterans' memorial under 32 VSA, Section 3840 for a period of ten (10) years?
Article 9. Since the Select Board has not received a reasonable offer on the Town Hall at Danby Four Corners , shall the Select Board be authorized by the voters to borrow up to $250,000 to upgrade that building to become the new location of the Danby Town Offices and Community Center?
Article 10. Shall the Town approve the sum of $50,000 for a Town Administrative position, and if so voted, to authorize an increase to Administrative Expense Budget by this amount?
