Soldering Workshop at Library Feb. 6

Past event
Feb 6, 2015

The Craftsbury Public Library will hold a workshop on learning to solder on Friday, February 6 from 3-5PM. The library will be using a through-hole soldering kit designed for the beginner. It has a low parts count so anyone can easily complete it. Once it’s put together red LED “eyes” on the metal insect will light up brighter or darker according to how much light is getting to the photosensor. Soldering involves melting metal to put electronics together, and is not suggested for younger children. This workshop is for teens and adults, but those under 12 who are interested are welcome to participate with an adult assistant.

The library will have 15 kits available for use.

Pre-registration is suggested to ensure a kit will be available.

For more information or to pre-register call 586-9683 or email craftsburylibrary@gmail.com.

This program has been generously funded by Concept 2, and there is no cost to participate.
