Traffic Congestion Forum

Past event
Jan 27, 2015, 7 PM

There may not be any free lunch in this world, but there is often free dessert when you come to community forums here in Hinesburg! Bring your observations, suggestions, and your sweet tooth to the Town Hall on Tuesday, January 27 at 7pm for a community forum on traffic congestion. Speakers for the event include:

Joe Segale, VT Agency of Transportation (VTrans), Director of Policy, Planning, and Research
Richard Watts, University of Vermont, Director of the Center for Research on Vermont, Assistant Research Professor in the Transportation Research Center, Community Development and Applied Economics, and Environmental programs

After dessert and some food for thought from our speakers, we'll have Q&A and discussion. What's the point? The primary goal is to get community feedback and conversation in order to help the Planning Commission (PC) consider revisions to the Hinesburg Town Plan. This is the comprehensive vision for Hinesburg's future, and the PC wants it to address issues important to the community. The 2014 community survey results showed that traffic congestion is an important issue, so let's talk about it and talk about solutions.
