The Selectboard requested I send you a head’s up reminder that the Green Mountain Stage Race is this Sunday, September 1, 2013 from mid- to late-morning (depending on how fast the cyclists ride). Approximately 180 riders will be coming down the Main Road off Rt. 17 to the Hollow Road and back to Rt. 116. There will be 2 groups of around 90 riders each, led by a State Police cruiser and accompanied by other vehicles including race officials (judges that make sure the riders follow the rules of the race). There will be marked marshals (police or traffic control officers) at each intersection to guide the racers through the turns and help with traffic control.
