Dear neighbors,

Please come to the Open Space Summit Meeting at Contois Auditorium this coming Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30 PM. This meeting is an all-wards Neighborhood Planning Assembly, organized by Save Open Space Burlington. We will have a moderated panel and lots of time for discussion of issues of growth, development and saving green space for public use. Our focus will be on the waterfront land behind Burlington College on North Avenue, proposed for development into 700 housing units. How can the city grow without filling all our open space with buildings? Can we balance the need for housing with the need for trees, open meadows and public green space that lets us all breathe?
