The public is invited to attend the Lamoille Valley Career and Job to be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2013 from 10:00—3:00 at the Green Mountain Technical Career Center on the campus of Lamoille Union Middle/High School. This event, open to youth interested in exploring a variety of careers and to adult job candidates, will provide an opportunity for area residents to speak with a number of local businesses.
Admission is free to the public!
Job seekers will find opportunities from entry level to advanced positions in a wide variety of fields. The growing list of businesses participating this year include: Apple Tree Natural Foods Market, CVCAC-Vermont Health Connect, Edward Jones Investments , Rich Jacobs, Financial Advisor, Green Mountain Technology & Career Center, Lamoille County Mental Health Services, Lyndon State College, New England Culinary Institute, Smugglers' Notch Resort, Sterling College, Vermont Army National Guard, VT Agency of Transportation (VTrans), Wyndham Vacation Resorts-Smugglers' Notch Resort.
Job seekers can bring copies of their resumes and can plan to arrive early enough to take advantage of the chance to put their qualifications directly into the hands of local employers who are looking for employees.
In addition to offering opportunities for job seekers to find a job, there will be representatives from resource organizations, such as: the Creative Workforce Solutions to help job seekers with supports to seek and retain employment.
