8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Waterman Bldg 338 (Memorial Lounge)

This one day workshop covers roundabout essentials--history, features, design and benefits--presented by nationally known roundabout practitioner, Mark T. Johnson of Madison, WI. Topics include the ABCs of roundabouts, safety (particularly for seniors and walk/bike modes), "corridors of roundabouts" (Vermont's first in Manchester Center completed in 2012), gas savings, emissions reductions, recent design developments, scenic quality and evaluation of one or more of North Avenue Corridor Plan (NACP) proposed roundabouts. This workshop directly addresses the "community acceptance" problem many transportation planners and policy makers face regarding roundabouts.

Price: $35.00 (to be confirmed)
