More on the Book Swap

As others have already noted, the annual January Thaw Book Swap event put on by the Marlboro Alliance is happening this coming Saturday from 9 to noon at the Town House. Bring books – take books – or just sit a spell to visit with your neighbors but do stop by the book swap!

I would like to thank Sarah Lavigne for coordinating this community event this year, as well as, all the volunteers that help Sarah make this happen.

Also, I would like to thank Bartleby's Books in Wilmington for generously donating books to our swap.

One more note – At the book swap the Alliance will be selling tickets to our upcoming benefit concert. This one-time, special concert will be held on Feb 22 and will feature Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations BWV 988 arranged for strings by Dmitry Sitkovetsky and performed by Ida Kavafian on violin, Steven Tenenbom, viola and Peter Wiley, cello. More information will be out soon about this concert but we expect it to sell out quickly. So, if you can, plan to get your tickets at the book swap !
