“The Future of Religion: A ML King Day Reflection” with Rev. M’ellen Kennedy. We’re in the midst of tremendous change culturally. Interest in spirituality is soaring as mainstream religious organizations are struggling. We long for Beloved Community, as King put it, and we have much to learn about how to create it in these tumultuous times. Rev. M’ellen attended the course, “Religion in the Post-Denominational Age” at a seminary in Chicago in early January and will share with us her reflections on the course and how we’re moving in these times of change. Come have fun, dream and explore a bright, new communal future together, the kind of future of which Martine Luther King dreamed.
