The Common Core is getting a lot of attention these days. Educators, students, parents, and community members are all asking really great questions, such as:
1. What are the 'Common Core Standards', who developed them, and why did Vermont adopt them?
2. How does the Common Core represent a change from the Vermont General Education Standards? Does it change what and how students are learning? If so, in what ways?
3. How does the Common Core connect to the SBAC, the next-generation exams that students will be taking this Spring?
Bring your questions, thoughts and ideas and join us this Thursday, January 15th, 6 pm at Wolcott Elementary School.
