1st Annual Washington County Snowperson Building Contest

I am a student at Union 32 High School. Instead of attending regular classes, I am in the PILOT program which allows me to create my own self-directed studies and learn out in the community through mentors, projects, volunteering, etc. My main personal interest is in event planning so I have been working on putting together the 1st Annual Washington County Snowperson Building Contest. This contest will a community event that brings people together and allows them to enjoy the outdoors. The proceeds will go to the VTVLC Marine Biology trip to Bermuda, which sends kids from all over Vermont taking this online course to Bermuda in order to learn in a more hands on way. This event takes place on January 17, 2015 from 10am to 2pm at Union 32 High School. I am currently trying to find donations ( monetary, baked goods, snowman decorations, prizes for winning snowpeople + ) and volunteers to help with the event ( various positions - food sales, registration, mascot, photographers + ). Anything you would be able to donate would be greatly appreciated, whether it is a blow-up snowman that we could use for the day or your time. In addition, we are still low on registration - it is $10 per individual and $25 per family/group ( up to 6 people and they must all work on same snowperson ).
