Calling All Democrats: Nominating Caucus on Sunday, Jan 11, 4:00

Reminder!! You have the opportunity to choose your party's candidates for the Town Meeting Day Election in March, 2015.
You are invited to participate in the Democratic City Council and Mayoral Nominating Caucus this Sunday, January 11, at the Sustainability Academy/Laurence Barnes Elementary School, 123 North Street. Doors open at 3:45 pm, and participants must be in the registration line no later than 4:15. Voting will be done by secret ballot. Free childcare will be available. Voting will be followed by a free community dinner.

Ward 4 and Ward 7 will nominate ONE candidate to run for the NEW combined Ward 4/7 district Council seat in the March election:
Carmen George, former City Councilor from Ward 7, or
David Hartnett, incumbent City Councilor from Ward 4.
So far there is no Republican opponent for theDistrict 4/7 seat.

Ward 4 will nominate one candidate the City Council seat representing Ward 4.
Jim Holway is the only person who has stepped forward to be nominated from the floor. Others can be nominated for this candidacy from the floor. The Republican opponent in March will be Kurt Wright.

It’s important that you exercise your citizen's right to vote at the caucus. Every registered voter is eligible to vote if resident in the relevant ward and if he or she has not already participated in another party’s nominating caucus for the March 15th election.
