at MCCC... One of the most popular films ever made, Casablanca was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won three, including best picture, best director and best screenplay. Film critic, Kenneth Turan says, "The finished film manages the feat of being as political as it is romantic, a story where humor, idealism, cynicism, espionage, melodramatics, and even deadly gunplay all play a part."
