Silver Jewelry Making with Michael Stimpfel
Thursdays, 6-8:30 PM, January 29-March 5, 2015
Learn the basic techniques and fundamental skills that will enable you to design and create your own silver jewelry. Participants will make a simple ring, a pair of triple hoop earrings and a bracelet. These three projects will involve design, layout, metal properties, tools including jeweler’s saw and pliers, cold-working metal techniques and silver wire and sheet soldering.
Michael Stimpfel is a goldsmith with over 35 years of jewelry making experience, having operated a retail jewelry store in downtown Rutland, while teaching a number of apprentice goldsmiths during this time.
Tuition: $295.00; materials, use of tools and safety equipment included.
